Crowdfunding for Entrepreneurs
This elective class is open to senior program participants aged 50+ only. It will be held in a hybrid format, both virtually and in-person at Atlanta Habitat's main office, 824 Memorial Drive SE. All attendees will receive TRIPLE sweat equity for attending this class. When registering, select "Atlanta Habitat" for the provider organization.
The internet has changed how entrepreneurs, small business owners, nonprofits, and charitable organizations raise money. This presentation will explore crowdfunding online, funding by gathering small amounts of money from many people. You'll learn the fundamentals of using a crowdfunding campaign to raise money as well as how to search for and contribute to other people's campaigns. The presentation will also discuss three popular crowdfunding platforms: GoFundMe, Kickstarter, and Indiegogo.

Changing Your Mindset for Success
"Changing Your Mindset for Success" is an empowering course designed to enhance self-awareness and personal accountability. This program guides participants through essential techniques such as goal setting, self-reflection, and affirmations. With a focus on transforming thought patterns and improving self-image, attendees will learn to unlock new possibilities, manage their self-talk, and cultivate a mindset geared toward achieving their aspirations. The course also incorporates mindfulness practices to foster resilience and reduce stress.
Handmade Journals: An Art Exploration (All-Ages Youth Class)
Come have some fun as we create one-of-a-kind journals for art and writing. Let your creativity run free as we use fabric, glue, markers, and more to make our own books!
Helping Hands (All-Ages Youth Class)
This hands-on cooking class where you will learn how to create affordable, easy, healthy meals for your family. Let's add vegetables wherever we can in a creative way that your kids will love - and they will love getting to help in the kitchen as well! Tasting our final menus together will allow you to find out if this is a meal you want to create in the future. Recipe cards will be handed out during the class.
Resume & Interview Crash Course: Full Circle Approach
Join our HR team in a boot camp that focuses on resume writing and interview preparation. It will not only highlight the ideas of refining and polishing your resume and interview skills, but it will also emphasize the journey toward career goals and success. Come dressed to impress, bring your resume, and join in the conversation!

Committed to helping homebuyers and homeowners build financial wealth through equity, Start Now Press offers activities to bring your kids along the journey of financial awareness. Help your kids build good financial habits from an early age!
This info session will provide an overview of Start Now Press and its programming and review how the importance of community, working hard, and saving are concepts that can be life-changing for our youth. We will also review the Start Now press children's scholarship program and eligibility.
