Power of Partners
May 17, 2018
Powerful partnerships are transforming Atlanta’s Historic Westside. Atlanta Habitat, Quest Community and Chris 180 recently celebrated a new partnership that provides homes for families in need.
On a cool, sunny March afternoon, a family of three boys, three girls, and their parents marveled at the new three-bedroom house that will provide the stability they need at this moment in their lives.
Quest Community and Chris 180 are working closely with the family and others like them to provide temporary support services and bridge housing that lead to self-sufficiency. The two organizations engaged Atlanta Habitat to build the houses. The partnership is a unique, affordable housing model to support sensitive populations that Quest and Chris 180 serve across Atlanta.
Atlanta Habitat is the largest nonprofit homebuilder in Atlanta, and this partnership is one example of our expanded mission to revitalize neighborhoods beyond our popular first-time homeownership program.
In addition to an impactful partnership like this one on the Westside,
Atlanta Habitat is also building new houses, renovating blighted properties to like-new condition, and working with established homeowners to improve their properties through our Brush with Kindness and Repair with Kindness critical home repair programs.
All eyes are on Atlanta’s Westside, and Atlanta Habitat is working hard everyday to ensure that affordable housing opportunities for local residents remain an option in this valued part of the city.
