Partnership Spotlights
Discover the impactful collaborations with our generous sponsors, whose unwavering support and shared commitment to affordable housing make our mission possible.
The Home Depot Foundation
The Home Depot has not only been a constant contributor to new homes for first time homebuyers in the Atlanta area but was among the first group of corporations to make significant contributions to Atlanta Habitat homeowner education programs and community repair initiatives 20 years ago. The Home Depot understands that the build is only the beginning and has championed Atlanta Habitat in efforts to help seniors, veterans, aspiring entrepreneurs, and even future college students with their generosity in multiple arms of our program.
The Home Depot Foundation constantly expands its partnership with Atlanta Habitat to empower Atlanta families through education and homeownership by contributing some of the largest grants to date at Atlanta Habitat. Since 2011, the Foundation has awarded over $7 million in grants to Atlanta Habitat, thus impacting the lives of more than 1,000 families. In addition, The Home Depot Foundation sponsored the construction and rehab of more than 80 affordable homes and over 150 critical home repair and exterior painting projects.
Wells Fargo
Wells Fargo's partnership with Atlanta Habitat, which began in 2004, marks its 20th year of collaboration and support. Over these two decades, Wells Fargo has contributed to a total of 36 builds. Last year, they made a significant gift of $700,000 to Atlanta Habitat, funding the construction of seven homes—one for the Americus Affiliate and six with the Atlanta Habitat affiliate. Additionally, they played a pivotal role in renaming Carter Way, a street in our newly constructed neighborhood, Browns Mill Village, in honor of President and First Lady Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. The first homes on this newly named street are set to be built this fall and continue through 2025.
Atlanta Women’s Build
In 2003, two friends had the idea to gather a group of their peers and sponsor a build, and this time, the neighbors were all women. Over twenty years later, the Atlanta Women’s Build continues each year to grant a single mother a home. With its successful “grassroots” campaign ideals, the Atlanta Women’s Build is a proud tradition and even managed to build 2 homes in the same year twice. Since its inception, this group has built 20 homes for single mothers in Atlanta.
Delta Airlines
The partnership between Delta and Atlanta Habitat has played a pivotal role in the Atlanta area and especially in the development of Browns Mill Village, a 31-acre community southeast of downtown Atlanta. Delta built the first home in the community. Their funding and volunteer efforts were instrumental in constructing the neighborhood’s model homes, which showcase the high-quality amenities and layout that define the impressive single- and two-story homes lining the neighborhood’s streets. Since this partnership began, Delta Air Lines has contributed to countless homes with Atlanta Habitat in the Atlanta area.
Novelis
Launched in 2017, the Recycle for Good program is a partnership between Novelis and Atlanta Habitat for Humanity that turns aluminum cans and bottles into funds to support home builds. Every soda, seltzer, or canned drink goes towards making the dream of homeownership come true for an Atlanta Habitat homebuyer. Novelis, the world leader in aluminum recycling, collects the metal waste and repurposes the aluminum for future use while donating the proceeds from the metals. For every three million bottles and cans collected and recycled, one home is built in Atlanta. Since the partnership began, Novelis has built 5 homes with Atlanta Habitat.
