‘Tis the Season for Giving

Dear Friend of Atlanta Habitat,

As we close out what will be an unprecedented year, Atlanta Habitat for Humanity is grateful to you for standing with us through the coronavirus pandemic. We depend on our friends during difficult times, and this year we could not have sustained through this crisis without you. We hope you know that the entire team and our many homeowners are grateful for your dedication to helping us empower families through homeownership. If this pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that a safe, affordable home means everything.

Your generosity has allowed our staff to continue to build without the critical help of volunteers and work with families to access resources like food, medical care and jobs, and offer valuable educational opportunities virtually.

I want to share the reflections of Kim, one of our homeowners, who was helped by the mortgage-relief fund:

“It’s been a terrible time for our family,” Kim recounts. “We had two family members die of COVID, and two more got very ill. I was laid-off for three months, and if it hadn’t been for the mortgage assistance, I would have had to make some very tough choices. When they told me I qualified, I cried,” she continued. “All things considered, we’ve been very blessed, thanks to Atlanta Habitat.”

Every contribution, regardless of the size, makes a life-changing impact. Your gift helps first-time homebuyers as well as seniors and military veterans who need critical home repairs. It also lays a foundation for revitalizing blighted neighborhoods and maintaining affordability in rapidly changing communities.

As we experience a different holiday season, we invite you to experience the deep and enduring satisfaction of knowing that your generosity will improve lives and communities for many years to come. Atlanta Habitat is honored to partner with you and witness the difference you’ve made!

In the Spirit of Joyful Giving, we appreciate all you do to help us Build, Thrive and Grow!

Sincerely,

Lisa Y. Gordon, CPA
