TechBridge and local IT Professionals help Atlanta Habitat demolish house to make way for new home
Atlanta, GA (June 10, 2015) — Atlanta Habitat for Humanity is partnering with local law firms for the 10th Buildable Hours house. The build kicked off on Saturday, May 30 and will conclude on Saturday, July 18 in Southwest Atlanta.
The Buildable Hours Build provides legal and professional service firms with the opportunity to have a dramatic impact on their community through service and financial contributions. For the past 10 years, Atlanta Habitat has partnered with numerous firms and companies in the Atlanta area to construct 16 affordable homes for working families.
Firms that are participating in the 2015 Buildable Hours Build are: Alston & Bird, Warren Averett, Virtustream, Bennett Thrasher, King & Spalding, The Coca-Cola Company- Legal Department, Booz Allen Hamilton, Infosys, RGP, and Deloitte.
Atlanta Habitat has a goal of serving 60 families with new and renovated homes in 2015, and the Buildable Hours build will help Atlanta Habitat reach that goal. Companies and Firms participating in Buildable Hours will help ensure that more families in Atlanta have access to affordable, safe, energy- efficient homes.
