Taco Bell Franchise owner partners with Atlanta Habitat to deliver box meals to Atlanta Habitat Families

Atlanta Habitat is partnering with the Mahamitra Group Taco Bell Franchise to help feed Atlanta Habitat families during the coronavirus pandemic. Atlanta Habitat employee- volunteers pick up the freshly prepared meals from two Taco Bell locations and deliver to homeowners each Tuesday around lunchtime.
Munir Taherbhai, an owner of Mahamitra Group, contacted Atlanta Habitat with a desire to help the community during this crisis. There are people who are hungry, and I believe we can help,” says Taherbhai. “We all have to do something, especially the business community, to combat some of the challenges we will see more of as this pandemic continues. We are helping keep our people employed while also helping others in our communities, and hopefully, inspiring others to help more families.”

In addition to serving customers coming to the store, The Mahamitra Group employees are also preparing one box meal for each family member. So far, Atlanta Habitat employees have delivered more than 700 meals to over 125 families Atlanta Habitat families in Atlanta and South Fulton cities that sign up to receive one free meal per family.
