Horticulture’s Showcase Becomes a Shopper’s Bargain at the Atlanta Habitat ReStore Annual Plant Sale Saturday, Jan. 28
January 25, 2017
Atlanta Habitat for Humanity ReStore will host its annual landscape plant sale featuring exhibits from the Georgia Green Industry Association’s (GGIA) WinterGreen Tradeshow & Conference that is underway this week.
Since 2005, Atlanta Habitat has been a proud recipient of horticultural exhibits from WinterGreen, which draws more than 200 exhibitors from around the country. At the end of the conference, the Atlanta ReStore will pick up the donated plants and have them ready for sale beginning at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 28 at its store located at 271 Chester Ave SE, Atlanta 30316.
“Our ReStore customers love this plant sale. They are often lined up outside waiting for the doors to open and the plants are gone usually within a few hours. We are grateful to GGIA for partnering with us and making it possible for us to receive this great donation.” says Dan Maddox, executive vice president and COO of Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.
There will be a healthy variety of landscaping plants priced at about half of their retail costs. Net proceeds from all ReStore sales support Atlanta Habitat’s mission to transform communities by acting as a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization.
