Calling all the Ladies: Join the 2019 Atlanta Women’s Build

August 23, 2019

Empowered women empower other women.

Atlanta Habitat will continue to do just that through the 16th annual Atlanta Women’s Build (AWB). It started as a passion project in 2003 to fund and build a house for a single, working mom but has now grown into a powerful initiative that brings women from all walks of life together to build two homes for single moms and their families.

AWB is a grassroots effort led by individual women who work side-by-side with a homebuyer over eight weeks to construct their homes, offering a unique opportunity to highlight the ways that Atlanta Habitat empowers women and builds stability in communities. The 2019 AWB will include the construction of the project’s 15th and 16th houses.

If you believe in empowering other women, to accomplish a tangible goal that will make a difference for generations, join us! Construction on the first house begins on August 24, and the second, October 12. It’s $100 per individual to build – but you can increase your impact by building a team.

Ladies, grab your colleagues, sorority sisters, church members, book club buddies, besties or family members and sign up to help moms build a brighter future for their families. Never built a house before? No worries, we’ll teach you everything you need to know. #GirlPower!
