Bank of America’s deep commitment helps Atlanta Habitat families

This season of giving, Atlanta Habitat is incredibly grateful to Bank of America for its continued commitment to improving economic opportunity for individuals and families throughout our region.

The bank’s recent gift of $80,000 will help fund a new home build, critical home repairs, and two life-empowering programs: My Money. My Future., which offers financial coaching to prepare individuals for future homeownership, and Vision. Goals. Action, a business competition to enable homeowners like Denise L. to achieve goals beyond the building of their homes.

“Many people from my community don’t have reliable transportation for daily needs, let alone for beauty services, which is why I started a traveling beauty salon,” says Denise, who won grant funding through the 2021 VGA Launch! competition to support the establishment of her new salon.

Additionally, through the bank’s grant and partnership, Atlanta Habitat will complete critical home repairs and exterior paint services for homeowners in the neighborhoods we serve, as well as help to build a new home for a family in 2022.

Bank of America’s commitment to our mission runs deep. Since 1993, the bank and its more than 6,000 employee-volunteers have helped dozens of Atlanta Habitat families.
