Atlanta Habitat welcomes Jill Strickland Luse as Vice President of Communications

Atlanta Habitat for Humanity is pleased to welcome Jill Strickland Luse as their new Vice President of Communications. In this new role she is responsible for developing internal and external communications strategies that involve media relations, social media and marketing for the organization. As a communications leader for nearly 20 years, Strickland Luse has provided communications counsel and services to Executives, Elected Officials, local governments and non-profit organizations. Strickland Luse most recently served as the Executive Director of Communications & Public Engagement for Atlanta Public Schools. She brings a breadth of knowledge to the role and has worked as a communications strategist for public relations campaigns and corporate communications initiatives. Strickland Luse’s career has also included owning and managing her own firm J. Strickland Communications Co., and integrated marketing and communications firm. She has served on several boards of directors including Communities in Schools of Atlanta, The National NAMES Project, and the United Way of Metro Atlanta Advisory Board. She has worked with agencies that advance affordable housing initiatives in the Atlanta community.
She began her career as a journalist in Atlanta and later in Huntsville, Alabama immediately after earning her Bachelor of Journalism degree from the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. She was born and raised in Atlanta and her husband and she have one daughter.
We are pleased to have Jill Strickland Luse join our team as we advance the mission of Atlanta Habitat. She will be an integral part of launching Atlanta Habitat’s new neighborhood revitalization strategy stated Lisa Y. Gordon, President and CEO of Atlanta Habitat.
