Atlanta Gas Light and Equifax Celebrate 25 Homes with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity
July 1, 2015
Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) and Equifax each completed their 25th house with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, June 27, 2015. The home was built with the Robinson family in northwest Atlanta.
Although AGL and Equifax are celebrating their 25th house, this is only their 13th year building together since beginning the partnership in 2002. Together, both companies have provided more than $1.2 million towards house sponsorship, making a life-changing difference for more than 30 working families.
The collaboration exemplifies the benefits of the corporate volunteer program concept to the expansion of affordable housing. Each of the for-profit sponsors views financial and volunteer investment in the project not only as a great opportunity to further develop their team-building skills, but also to show their commitment to Atlanta Habitat’s proven not-for-profit business model.
The involvement goes farther than their home build partnership, as both groups are all-around fantastic supporters of Atlanta Habitat. Whether it is through donating trucks for construction, sponsoring Framing the Future – our donor appreciation event, or participating in the Atlanta Women’s Build, Atlanta Habitat is so grateful for their tremendous support and are honored to be celebrating these accomplishments with such community-focused organizations.
