Committed ReStore Volunteers help fund 10 Atlanta Habitat homes

Daily ReStore operations are possible thanks in part to dedicated volunteers who give hours of their time every week. In 2017, ReStore volunteers contributed to our record-breaking year of generating enough revenue to sponsor 10 new Atlanta Habitat house-builds!

We celebrated this success at our annual Volunteer Appreciation event on February 1 with dozens of hardworking volunteers who helped to make it all happen.

Part of our success hinges on the dedication of ReStore volunteers; therefore, the Hinge Awards were presented to those who went above and beyond and gave over 200 hours of their time in 2017. A big thank you and congratulations goes to Jennifer Cooper, Mike Krauter and Jamie Willis.

ReStore volunteers who gave over 100 hours of their time in 2017 helped open the door to homeownership for many families. A big thank you and congratulations goes to the following Door Knob Award recipients: Andy Fentem, Bob Fredrick, Chris Linder, Fran Marshall, Caroline O’Grady, Peter Schneider, Pat Soloman and Edith Waller.

Volunteers who committed to the challenge of giving their time at least once a month earned the award. Outstanding ReStore Volunteers of 2017: Stephen Belan, Denise Bier, Larri Brooks, Jeff Chilcutt, Julie Davis, Terence Davis, Matthew Del Ray, Jamie Dunlavy, Dan Eder, Ruth Freeman, Robert Furrey, James Gallaher, Gloria Glass, Jason Hammock, Erika Harris, Tosin Ige, Davey Irizarry, John Kranjc, Liz Lopez, Teresa McTush, Kailash Nagapudi, Moses Njenga, Avery Prudent, Kimberly Reese, Jim Rhodes, Clinton-Ebere Richard, Karl Schultz, Luz Sjulson, Melanie Sovine, D’Lisa Stevens, Terry Towles, James ‘JW’ Walker, Leonard Williams and Indonesia Wilson.

It’s an exciting time to be a part of our volunteer team!
